Whether you are seeking therapy services for yourself, or someone you care about, we are here to support you.

Our Services

  • Your presenting issues/s are unique, and your reason for seeking therapy is being experienced in a very personal way. To address this, your practitioner will design a completely individualized plan of psychotherapeutic care for your needs. Your presenting issues may not necessarily be a diagnosable mental disorder; but rather, a response to some life event/s. However, our clinicians are trained to work with any diagnosable psychiatric disorder.

  • Adolescence can be an incredibly challenging stage of life. Many teenagers struggle with identity issues, anxiety, depression and a number of other emotional, behavioral and social issues. Often times, parents may have great relationships with their teens, but may not be aware of how extensive their adolescent’s issues are. At Stokes Counseling and Consulting, we facilitate the space for your teenager to deeply examine their internal world and behavior, while we look past the quintessential “Teen Angst” and consider each adolescent’s struggles as significant and meaningful. Our team of clinicians establish specialized treatment approaches for adolescents struggling with a plethora of various issues.

  • Is your family going through a rough patch? Whether the issue itself, stems from a lack of understanding between those involved, sibling conflict, or developmental disagreements with a child, a difficult situation can have an effect on the entire family. Family counseling, or family therapy, can be helpful when problems arise and can help restore and improve communication.

  • Factors of everyday life can put an abundant strain on a relationship. Severe stressors may include resentment, infidelity, intimacy issues, lack of trust, and miscommunication. When problems go unresolved, or a partner is suffering from mental illness or health complications, one can feel helpless or have feelings of guilt or shame. Communicating effectively on both parts can alleviate emotional anxiety from subjects of all kind. Couples often seek couples or marriage counseling when the relationship is at a standstill, or if they are unsure whether or not the relationship is worth salvaging. This type of therapy can benefit families with children who have been affected by relationship issues such as divorce, and confront the source of the conflict.
